Cage Fury Fighting Championships returned to action Friday night with two titles on the line in the final event of the 2021 promo.

In the CFFC 104 main event, the vacant featherweight title was up for grabs between Blake Bilder and Frankie Buenafuente.

Buenafuente (10-6) dominated the first round with heavy top pressure, largely controlling every moment of the first frame on the canvas. The fight would see the second round and Buenafuente continued to lead the dance early. In the opening moments, Buenafunete landed a strong forehand to knock down Bilder (5-0-1) and the swarm for a finish was underway. However, Bilder was able to cover up and survive the moment.

From there, the momentum changed rapidly.

While Buenafuente maintained maximum control after seeking the ending, Bilder quickly regained his powers and began searching between submissions from below. After isolating one arm, he was able to block a triangular choke to knock Buenafuente out in the middle of the tap and make a spectacular comeback to become the new CFFC featherweight champion.

In the co-main event, flyweight champion Phumi Nkuta defended his throne for the second time by rejecting challenger Jason Eastman.

Nkuta (5-0) used his dominant grappling skills to control most of the first and second rounds as he searched for submissions on the mat. Eastman (7-4) was able to reverse his position late in the second round and looked for his own submissions, but couldn't block anything to force a bunt.

The third round was spent mostly on the feet with some heated punching exchanges, but Nkuta closed the round with a takedown, finishing on Eastman's back before the fighters returned to their corners. Nkuta leaned on his grappling skills once again to close out the fight in a dominant fashion, turning Eastman on his back for most of the frame to secure the unanimous decision victory.
